Our ACE Program, powered by Heartset® Education, is an evidence-based social-emotional learning (SEL) platform that helps students build a growth mindset and develop CASEL’s five core competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
What We Do
Through engaging, student-centered experiences, ACE fosters empathy, compassion, and resilience while empowering young people to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Aligned with MTSS (Multi-tiered System of Supports) Tiers 1 and 2, the program advances student well-being, belonging, and lifelong success.

Impact
A study of ACE Program participation across 13 high schools found that students in ACE outperformed a carefully matched group of afterschool peers on key academic measures.
- ACE participants scored 35.7 points higher in English-language arts (ELA) on the CAASPP.
- ACE participants scored 30.9 points higher in math on the CAASPP.
- The percentage of ACE participants who met or exceeded standards in ELA was 12.0% higher.
